Twin vs Twin XL Bed Bridge: Which Size Do You Need?
The correct bridge length depends on the mattresses you are joining. Standard Twin mattresses are normally 75 inches long; Twin XL mattresses are normally 80 inches long.
| Feature | Option 1 | Option 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Best match | Two standard Twin mattresses | Two Twin XL mattresses |
| EPHEDORA size | 10 × 75-inch bridge | 12 × 80-inch bridge |
| Typical setup | Twin-to-King guest bed | Split King setup |
| Adjustable movement | Keep connected sides flat or moving together | For independent movement, consider a fitted system |
How to choose
Choose the 75-inch model when both mattresses measure about 75 inches from head to foot. Choose the 80-inch model when both measure about 80 inches. A longer bridge on a shorter mattress can overhang; a shorter bridge leaves part of the gap uncovered.
If each side of a Split King must move independently, a fitted bridge system can move more naturally than a single surrounding strap.
Measure before ordering
Measure mattress length, depth, height difference and the center gap. Check the bed or chair manufacturer’s instructions before adding any connecting or positioning accessory.
