A Practical Bed Bridge Setup for Guest Rooms

Two separate mattresses can make a guest room more flexible: keep them apart for individual sleepers or combine them for a wider shared surface. A bed bridge helps cover the seam when the mattresses are placed together.

Confirm the bed configuration

Two Twin mattresses are usually about 75 inches long. Two Twin XL mattresses are usually about 80 inches long and together form the dimensions commonly associated with a split king. Measure the actual mattresses before choosing a bridge.

Choose for changeover speed

• A classic bridge is easy to remove and lets you use existing sheets.
• A fitted bridge creates a more integrated combined-bed setup.

Prepare the room between guests

Know when separate beds are preferable
